    Well... this happened...

    So I bought this...

Going to be swapping all my stuff over to the new chassis, painting some stuff and eventually adding stuff. First on the list is to shorten the strut tubes for the sw20 struts on those.

Next thing (after parts are swapped over) is going to be airride, though it's now going to take me a little longer to get the last couple parts I need... because I had to buy a new car...

Here's a video of the accident too. Guy had just left a parking lot across the street. Went about 1/2 a block up the wrong way of a one way before turning down this street. Told the police officer he couldnt drop his rpms too low or his truck would die (the reason he was at the parts house across the street), which is why he was going about 40mph when he hit me in a 25mph zone. You can also see the mountain dew he was drinking while driving his 5spd fly out of his hand on impact  . I was found 100% at fault?!

If he drives a standard truck, speed should be no excuse for having to keep his revs up. Just throw it in neutral if its going to die, christ. In other words, that's bullshit it's considered your fault.

But, good luck with this one. Take this opportunity to make it even better this time.

Thats some fucked up shit.. The guy didnt even swerve... theres no chance he was paying any attention whatsoever.

Hopefully you get it all sorted asap and get the new one looking as good.... Going to do the rust thing again? Or keep it clean?

He was backing out, yes it could be argued that the driver could have avoided the accident but laws are often unfavorable.

Good luck with the new build though. At least you found a clean shell.

              I like em dropped.

That is true, what I thought was that he was probably backing out so he could see if there was a car coming in the first place. Either way though, it's pretty bogus.

Yeah, I'm not too optimistic on this one, but the worst they can do is say no. I'm hoping they'll drop it to a no fault so I don't get such a bad hit on my insurance.
