    22/02/2012 updates

Managed to grab another couple of hours on the polo today. Got the rear beam and petrol tank removed at last. And also pulled the front screen, which decided to crack itself.

deciding on weather to run these or not?

Just need to paint strip the large area.

    more to come soon

        Moooooooooore!

Amazing build! Here in Portugal, we have some of those cars, and no one gives a crap about them.
It's awesome to see someone picking one and transforming it in a fantastic machine!

        Congratulations

            08/03/2012 updates

little bit of work from yesterday and today.

got the spare wheel well out, and sanded down the welds.

ready for one of these to go in place.

also started bare metaling the arch on the inside.

and the top of the arch where the suspension mounts, there are normally little tags sticking up which have now gone. they only hold the dust covers on but i dont want any on.

            more updates soon.

The shaved engine bay is awesome, but make sure that everything fits before you paint it

                        Sort of update

Right haven't done much for a while due to other stuff going on, but atm im saving money up to have the shell acid dipped, its quicker, and gets rid of all impurities so i can just drop it to the body shop and say fix whats wrong!

Also been messing with other projects and stuff. So heres some pics!

                        This happened

                        Followed by this

And finally the polo. Now upside down fully stripped in the garage on stands on wood off the strut towers. Not just on its roof!

Updates asap, when i save the money for acid dipping there will be plenty updates but untill then not much!
Also sourced a new engine 1.4 16v 100bhp stock, but should see a bit more with a few minor mods!

                        Patch

p.s my vans lower now and running 15x7 et 5 front and et0 rear ronal r15s on some toyo 165/45 which im changing soon! And dropping a vr into!

                          Little update

Well i picked up the new power house today. A mates braking his girlfriends lupo sport so i had the engine, box, ecu, loom clocks for £150 picked it up today and got it back at the garage.
Need to finish off sorting out the garage and make some space for it to live for a while till i can get it in the car to test fit.

Its only a 1.4 16v but its 100bhp stock, with a bit of work i want around 140bhp. Fingers crossed.

                            Time

Well its been a while since ive been on here, but ive now decided i want to start competing in hillclimbs.
And with a few local clubs and tracks around it shouldnt be to difficult.

So the plan now is to work my way around the car, taking off underseal, fixing any rust, welding and cutting unessercary brackets off and then applying a light coat of new underseal to the metal.
The car will only ever be used on dry days so it wont need to be caked in underseal, as that only makes it heavier

Plans are at the moment, fully stripped, msa spec roll cage, perspex windows, fuel cell, drop the 1.4 engine in for now, fibreglass doors/bonnet/boot/wings, carbon roof skin, few suspension goodies.

Ill post updates as and when i do them, so for now heres the filler cap being shut off, and the start of the outer sill repair!

                            Patch
