hey guys, wile still waiting on more miata stuff to show up. the lady and i decided to give her car a face-lift, shaved bump strips, and a h.o.k. paint job. here is some pics. and a little how to.
hers what she looked like:

first thing is first: euro grill/ emblem delete.

i made a template on 20aug. steel, cut it out and welded it in solid. ground it down.

wiped it with an evercoat hard filler, blocked it and primed it. ppg k38

next i filled the half moon on the bumper with a smc hard filler after roughing it up with 80grit roll-lock on a right angle grinder. more pics of that later.
next: smoothie bumper!
for this i (with the help of a buddy) took the front bump strips off and cut them flat and ground the webbing out of the bumper.

we stuck the pices in the holes and trimmed until it sat flush.

then we busted out the plastic welder, with the polypropylene rods and welded it up

after welded up, i ground it down and filled it with smc.

heres the bumper now. will shape and bodywork on monday.
