Thanks for the comments. I must admit, I was expecting some negativity for posting a barely started build. I guess there's plenty of time for ****** when I fail to stance it tho, haha.
The flock is holding up ok, but it's just sat in my garage at the moment. It won't get a true test until I put it back together and actually drive it! I'm not sure if it'll all fall off after a couple of weeks or not yet!
I've just masked off and flocked a door card. It was pretty difficult due to the size. I'm going to have to wait for this to dry and then do lots of touching up. Hopefully it'll come out ok though! Not looking forward to doing the dash now!
More stickers arrived today, some JDM gayness, some Proper+ stuff and several random stickerpacks. Some of them are pretty cool, but most will be used for the bottom layer of the next bits I need to bomb.

Lol, thanks for the kind words
There'll be more photos of the inside of the engine when I get them off my iPhone, we took it out yesterday and stripped it down.
The Unstoppable sticker is one I designed and had cut. I have some left if anyone wants to swap one for something cool and unavailable in the uk!?

So, on Saturday, we got the engine out of the car, finally.
Once it was on the deck, we started stripping it down and having a look at the damage caused by years of neglect. I know I posted a picture of the inside of the rocker cover before, but the amount of baked oil crud in the head was just unbelievable. I had to use a screwdriver to pull fat chunks of black crap from the head bolts before we could undo them. There's a pipe that joins the head to the block. It's at the back of the engine, gets very hot and has a couple of bends and a kink in it. It blocks up easily. I've never seen one this blocked before though:
There was so much crap that we decided to strip the head down further so we could clean it out properly. So we whipped out the cams and lifters and took the head off. The pistons didn't look too bad, considering the head:
They're still going in the bin though.
We also started taking apart the donated engine with the knackered valve seats. These two CA18DETs have both covered just over 90,000 miles. The one from my car has clearly not had many oil changes. The donated one has had regular changes. I thought you might like to see the difference changing your oil regularly makes to the inside of your engine:
As everything was so much cleaner in the donor engine, I decided to use the cams, lifters and rocker covers from it. Once the head is cleaned out, hopefully whatever crud is left will get flushed out and there won't be enough of it to kill the bottom end.
So, we packed away all the bits of engine and tools. Looks like this week I'll be mainly cleaning shit out of the head before it's ready to be put back on the donor block.
Oh, and I've had loads of stickers delivered this week... So I might find the time for some more bombing...

I was babysitting my kids the other night. I was sorting out my stickers and they wanted to stick them on stuff. So I decided, as I can't afford a set of Koukis, to bomb the lower panel and see how it looked.
I quite like the result, although it'll be a lot better when I've found a JDM rear bumper and the car is slammed
