Explain to me the legalities of car modding in the UK.
So MOT sounds like JCI (shaken, done every 2 years) over here in Japan but the inspection costs $80, they then tell you what you need to fix (if anything), then you have to pay anywhere from $200-700 depending on the car for them to deal it road worthy. Does the MOT have the same kind of charges?

I pay £30 for my MOT, if it fails then I take it home and fix. Take it back for a free retest and thats it done for another year. High street garages charge the most at like £50.
