530d or 530i? Both Sport models. Been thinking of getting the diesel model for its tuning capabilties, re-map and decat etc. Although the engine as a whole is a more 'fragile' lump compared to the petrol. Turbos go, manifolds crack and other niggly bits.

I can get more car for the money if I get the petrol model, will do a little less mpg but also limted to more power upgrades. Will be a more reliable car though.

Thoughts?

@Jorge, how was your 330i on fuel if you drove it 'sensibly'. Reliable I take it?

I'd have another tomorrow Rich, it averaged 27 all week, every week. I could get mid 30s on a run. Even hit a 40 before.

Friend just pickedu p an Imola Sport for sub £2500. Superjealous of that.

Think I need to drive some and come to a conclusion. Also thinking about an estate for when I want to pull the golf with tools etc, air bag rear suspension would be handy but a pain to lower/stance

Apparently they're a right pain in the ass because of the air in the back
