On another note... the deal with the centers I was going to pick up fell through, beacuse One of the centers is damaged.

So...

I'm picking up my E39 later and it has rear fenders that have been widened by 3 cm each and I am now desperately looking for some wheels to build up.

Yeah... found something nice in 8.5 and 10 x 17... RH ZW1. Most people are not too fond of them but I kinda like them...

Plans would be probably re-use the 10s for the front and re-lip the other two with the widest lips I can get (4.5 inch) to 11.25x17 for the rear.

Guy already answered, they're still there. Calling him tomorrow to talk about when I'll go look at them.

No Pas, those sizes are too weak. With what I'd have to spend on lips, I'd be spending 2k just for wheels... no bueno, not for a daily.
