Guys, planning a trip to Germany soon, any ideas?

Was thinking of taking a train into Frankfurt and then renting a car (go see the ring and other places local-ish)

Thoughts on this or should I be looking elsewhere?

definately go and see the ring but try to go on a weekend when its open to public...you'll see soooo many different cars and things.

also Frankfurt can be nice as a city. otherwise the regular tourist places around thereüsseldorf,Cologne.. but Bas knows better whats going on around there...hes pretty local
