How is that a double standard?

The money made off stickers goes back into the community to grow it, to put towards keeping the forum running and future events.

What does the money from the magazine do for us? Where does it go? Into the community? No. Into the pockets of the company publishing the mag, who will undoubtedly publish the next fad to come along.

Actually, not necessarily. I'm joining in with the STANCE community.
You could say that all "newcomers" are just following the fad of STANCE, but then again, that would mean that you too follow the fad.

To me STANCE isn't a fad. It isn't something people just say, oh we'll do it, and then when the next thing comes along they change. I have always wanted my bug to scrape, and when I found out about STANCE|WORKS through a mate, I was sold on the idea.

Just because my post count is low doesn't mean I'm just following a fad. It means I am learning, I am reading as much as I can to get as much information as possible before I jump in with my bug and try and get the first beetle with poke and stretched tires on the road...
