Was alright in the end!

Got the coils in relatively easily actually, took about two hours to do the whole car which was nice. Guess it makes it a bit easier with a rattle gun!

Now all it is is the adapters to sort out. Once that's done, the wheels will finally be able to go on.

Delivered they're going to cost me $112AUD.
Thank fuck for that. Did some thinking outside the box, found that VE Commodores use a 14x1.5 pitch stud. Did some looking into them, found some extended ones (80mm overall diameter) and have the same knurl.

Purchased straight away.

Hopefully they'll arrive this week, I can then give the studs and adapters to Tim/Stu and they can sort it out hopefully by the end of the week. Which will mean next weekend I should have the wheels on!

I hope so. I think I just find comfort in knowing that shit is actually happening to my car.

As for the ride, it is bloody stiff. We put it on the softest dampening setting possible and it is still stiff. But that was to be expected.

As for fitting new strut top bushes and bearings, I didn't. I thought about it, but after a quick look over the bushes and bearings, I didn't see any damage to the bushes and the bearings spun freely so I decided to keep the original ones.

In saying that, I'm tempted to order a whole front end bushing kit when I order new rotors and pads and just freshen up the front end.

My front end is squeaky as fuck, but only on hot days. Hope it's just a set of LCA bushes or something. I had the cheapo Hottuning coils on mine and the ride was horrible, I thought the BCs would be a bit more compliant.

I have no complaints on the BCs at the moment, and my front end isn't really squeaky. I need to replace my inner CV boots though. But I'll do all of that when I do the front end rebuild.

Considering just buying the pre-built shafts from ECS tuning when it comes to fixing the inner CV, probably easier to just replace the whole driveshaft...
