So where does the gauges go then? Now I'm even more confused
You need to run four separate lines to each of the four lines/bags.

        amiright?

EDIT: or do you use the other side of the VU4 for gauges?

Yeah, I know I have to run four separate lines to each of the bags, but I just don't understand where the hoses come from to the gauges. Tis weird.

I would have thought they'd be included in the diagram, but obviously not.

Is it wise, however, to run two hoses from one tank into the VU4? If I've got two compressors, and going for symmetrical-ness would it be worth it?

          • The lines from the gauge have to go to each respective bag. I'd think you'd have to put a tee piece in each of the 4 lines that run to the bags and connect your gauge to that.

Whatever pressure is in the line will be the same as whats in the bag.

EDIT: Just thought about it and you wouldn't be able to use the blocked off side of the VU4 for gauges IIRC.

Depends on your install and whether you're showing it off or not. Honestly just run one line. Less connections = less chance for leaks.

Hmm, I don't have any T-pieces and I'd have to run a step down as well as the lines to the bags are 3/8" and the lines to the gauges are 1/8". I understand what to do now though, thanks man!

Okay, just one line will be run to the manifold. It's all going to be hidden behind a false wall at the back of the trunk, but will also be able to be shown as it'll be on a hinge. That's the plan anyway, have to start doing some measuring up tonight and get it all planned out.

              Thanks!

              • Get some 3/8 tee's and you should be able to 3/8 to 1/8 reducing couplers pretty easily.

Already found some PTC tees that go 3/8 to 1/8 for the gauge.
Going to order a water trap with the next order I make, plus add in some more hose I reckon. Just to be safe.

Hopefully do so after the Melbourne trip.

                    • Oh cool, Wasn't sure whether you could get them or not.

Got back from Byron last night. Now that's out of the way I've gotta hook into the new mk3.

                      • so with the gauges going to the other side of the VU4, does that mean that if a bag leaks, the gauge doesnt show the leak?

Yeah, that is exactly what it means.

I think I'll still get the T pieces to put them in the lines, but that PDF explains to me how to do the compressors and all that. Going to be bloody easy now after seeing that.

Baha I used to have cement in the front of Zelda to make her not get blown away when going past trucks. Before I lowered her that is.
