  • haha thanks dude, I'm the same, if you don't 'need' stretch it has no place. I'm going for a proper 90's look so no stretch works well there too.

tyres are 195's all round on 8" rears and 7.5" fronts, 60 profile rear and 55 front

                • Ok so this was my solution to the sump issue. Let me know if it is as dumb as it looks or if it might just work.

I have put a big glob of silicone between the sump an the bash plate. I figured that this would help absorb any impacts on the base of the bashplate. Also if any hairline fractures accrue it might possibly keep it sealed maybe possibly... Temp range on the silicone is apparently -50 - +150c so temp wise should e right. I have also raised the car about 30mm like a puss but I am on my 4th sump now and the wagon will become my new lowislifestylemobile.

Also ordered new engine mounts which should hopefully lift the motor up a bit.

Let me know if this is super dumb and if I should buy a fire extinguisher :/ lol

                  • How will you change the engine mounts with your sump/engine glued to a bash plate?

Apart from that, It might be crazy enough to work.

There was oil all over the sump and bashplate so the bond onto both surfaces will be weak when it comes time to separate. I hope anyway, otherwise the trusty hacksaw blade will slice that silicon pretty quickly

                      • for a minute there, I thought you glued your bash plate to your sump haha.

Just give it a try and see what happens. If you raised 30mm though I'd bet you wont be breaking it anytime soon. It's crazy what even 10mm does when your'e that low. I used to only scrape front lip on big bumps and dips, but now it scrapes every 100m or so haha.

                              • I put a tool kit from a 318is into a fireman's too pouch and then fit it perfectly into my boot compartment. Probably the biggest and best accomplishment I have ever experienced.
