  • new guy, crap car.

Hai, My names Alex, I live Near Bordeaux, France, And I drive a POS RHD English reg Mk3 FIesta I bought for 100euros, I have nothing planned for this car, mainly because I **** it, and everything It loves.

I did spend 3 days cleaning it though.

    I still **** it.

Anyway, heres my previous POS. An Opel omega. ( I loved this POS)

    After molesting.

Oh, and I drifted it into a ditch.

So I scrapped it. ( broke a ball joint and wishbone) car wasn't worth repairing.

So my cars suck. But I have a nice personality, so I have that going for me.

Anyway I've been trolling this forum for a year or so now, so thought I'd say Hi to everyone,so hi.

    I love mk3 fiesta's! Welcome to Stance|Works.
I haven't seen one in person, because I don't think they sold them here in the states, but I've seen a really cool RWD rally fiesta in some old ass videos.

You should do something like this to it. Hey, you might even like the car after a while.

Word! I'm a firm believer in working with what you have. I think you should take the challenge of making the little car cooler that it is, Cleaned up nicely so far

Hey, thanks for the possitive feedback so far!

I'm thinking about just buying some bolt on arches and banded steelies, not gonna do much as I'm pretty short on cash atm.

For anyone wondering it's a 1.6s , (or the non-turbo xr2i engine, apparently), It drives like a go-kart, so rally spec might be an Idea. I'm back in France on wednesday ( visiting the parents in England) So I might start stripping it out when I get back.

That silver one looks badass, black bolt on arches for extra wideness maybe? not a huge fan of XR2 bumpers though.

Alex, that lil Fiesta is jam packed with aesthetic potential. Ford does not make cool cars like that anymore and it's red! I would pay €100 for one like yours in a heartbeat.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I do want to do something with it, but having just been told by a mechanic friend I have very low compression in 3 out of 4 cylinders, I'm not a mechanic so I can't really go into detail, but he pretty much said the engines unrepairable for what the cars worth.

Not sure what to do now, At the moment I have no choice but to Drive it, being poor makes it very hard to be able to do anything with it. I might start looking for a 1.6 turbo lump to swap, who knows.

That's a nice car, keep it if it's worth for you.
I'm actually considering selling my 2006 VW and get this mk3 escort

Drove it for a month because my car had it's interior stripped and fell in love with it, Ford's mk3 are the best

That's an awesome car, really clean too. I've been an avid VW fanboy for years, so buying and restoring a Ford Fiesta is new to me, BUT, the people have spoken, so I'm on the lookout for a 1.6 turbo lump. As soon as I have some news or I do something amazing I'll put up some photos

Good news everyone, just a friend give me a second opinion about the engine, he says it's most likely the carbs need a clean, hence the constant stalling, Hopefully I'll have more good news this afternoon.

Also I need to choose wheels, what does everyone think would look good on a fiesta? mini lites maybe?

                            I'm a happy boy.
