  • euro guy from Chattanooga, TN

Hello all, my name is Tanner and I reside in Chattanooga. I currently own 3 cars: 2000 jetta 2.slo, 2002 jetta 1.8t, & a 1989 golf VR. Overlook the 2.0, I've owned the car since I started driving a few years back & it's still hanging around. 238k and my mother still drives it back and forth to work! I'm going to get some pictures together and I'll post soon. For now, here's some info:

89 Golf 15k miles since swap
    Drivetrain:
    1996 OBD2 GTI 120k 2.8L VR6
    Chains Done With Swap
    Autotech 262's
    Autotech Q-chip
    New lifters
    MK IV Metal Headgasket
Valve Guides, Surfaced Head, New Seals
New Crack Pipe and Thermostat Housing
    New Water Pump
    VF Trans Mount
    Techtonics Cat Back Exhaust w/Borla
    New Coil Pack
Non-A/C Serpentine Conversion, New Belt and Tensioner
    Trans:
    1996 GTI O2A 5 speed
    Autotech Steel L/W Flywheel
    New Clutch and all Hydraulics
    New Drive Axles
    TM tuning Short Shifter
    Brakes:
    Corrado G60 11" Girling 54mm Calipers
    New Power Slot Rotors
    Akebono Ceramic Pads
    Techtonics Stainless Steel Lines
    Suspension/Wheels:
    Narrow Front Subframe
    TT Control Arm Position Bushings
    Koni Yellow Struts
    Neuspeed Springs
    Autotech Rear sway bar
    ESM 009's 15x8 et10 all around

Car is a blast, but the number of the swaps that exist now makes me want to crush it..

    02 Jetta 1.8t 85k miles
    Frankenturbo F4T hybrid kit
Forge FMIC, still need to get some piping made.
PO tuned it with UpSolute. Soon to change..

Everything else is factory for now other than a few things being deleted, will probably see some air & splits in the next few months. Just recently purchased this one, bought the FT kit/FMIC & now I'm waiting on more funds. First forced induction car for me, very excited to see what the future holds for this one.

I've been a few times, but back when it was at moe's. I not too acquainted with a lot of the folks. I let Sal work on my cars from time to time & I know another guy named Seth. We were at my friends lake house & he rolled up in a mk2 VR as well.. small world. I'll have to ride out there sometime, was also thinking about going out to the 'camp out' gtg

I'll try and make it out. I'm usually stuck working fairly late, but we'll see. I wish there were more that went on around here.
