My original plan was to use Goodyear's G19 slicks fo the rears... they make a 28.5" x 14.5" which would fit perfectly, no stretch whatsoever. However, come to find out they only produce them once they have a minimum order, which as of right now they're at 20% of that number. So, instead of waiting two years for "correct" tires I'll use a 345/35/18 stretched a bit, most likely Kuhmo V710's. We have the Hoosier R6's on our Mazda, so I want to see how these compare.
Don't worry, this wont fizzle out. I've got way too much invested into it already. It may take a few years, sure... but, thats half the fun of it. My goals for the winter are modifying the suspension to accept the wheels and tires, while lowering it another inch-two inches, along with the new exhaust and intake manifold. I also have a 5-speed that I need to put in. I don't know if I'll do some ratty fenders once the wheels are on, I guess we'll just have to see.... I know what the end picture looks like, what happens between now and then is completely up in the air. I'll just have fun with it.
