  • New guy From CT! New MK1 owner!

Hey everybody, I just joined the other day and this is my first post on SW. I've been looking at all the sick cars on here and figured I would finally join.

Here is my Rabbit. I bought it off my friend who bought it off a 70 year old man. The old guy had it in his barn for 15 years and has 24,000 original miles on it!

Right now it's on Racelands in the front and cut-springs in the back. I only had fronts so i had to drop the rear. I had it a lot lower at first but roads around here aren't too kind to my oil pan.

The dents on the bottom of the rad support are from the first day I lowered it and went down my friends dirt driveway.

Front bumper came off to remove mouse nest. Didn't bother throwing it back on as I have a euro bumper coming soon.

    .

    .

My friend Dave is on the left, I bought the car from him and I'm on the right. Dave's Rabbit Pickup is creeping next to my car.

    .

    .

    .

I'm hoping for a 1.8t or TDI swap soon, but my DD B5 Passat has been killing my bank account lately.

Keep in mind I've had it for a few months and am jobless so it's very low on the stance factor now. Thanks!

Ya about 3 of my friends parents all have stories about them, and how much they loved them.

And the mileage is real, i have the bill of sale from the dealer and the original owners service book. The woman that owned it drove it only 3200 miles the first 2 years she owned it!

I live right in Ellington. When the weather warms up in spring there's usually a small meet at the Advance Auto parking lot in Vernon. Langan VW of Vernon is starting up some meets this year too. I wanna make the ride up to a few Broke Status meets this year, but right now i need to fix a wheel bearing and my tires are good for small drives.
