With the Goodwood Festival of Speed less than a month away, we figure now’s better than ever to take a look back: One of our favorite motorsports photographers, Peter Aylward, has made good on his promise to treat us to the imagery of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. For those somehow unfamiliar, the Goodwood FoS celebrates historic race cars of all walks, from vintage to modern, as long as the machine offers automotive, cultural, or community significance. Moreover, the Festival offers the rare opportunity to see such cars run at race pace. The event takes place at the Goodood House in West Sussex, England, with cars racing in a hillclimb event that takes place on Lord March’s driveway, of all places. Peter Aylward was present and armed with the gear to capture the event in all its beauty. Enjoy, stay tuned for Part II, and as always, be sure to check out more of Peter’s work PeterAylward.co.uk/ and on Instagram at @PeterAylward.
