The Crawat Files – A Belgian E12

The latest photos from Mike Crawat’s collection & travels: A gorgeous E12 on air ride and splits, a tried and true combination. The E12 5-series, the first of the fives, is an often-forgotten chassis, despite how much it shares in common with its successor, the E28. With hints of more classic-esque styling like chrome handles, mirrors, and grilles, as well as the hood line and c-pillar trimmings, the E12 somehow manages to look substantially different and substantially similar, all at once. This particular example, finished in burgundrot, proves just how nice the E12 can and does look planted firmly on the ground. Its arches are filled, as the BMW gods intended, and Mike Crawat was present to capture the aesthetics for all to enjoy.
