Two months ago, we took to our project FJ60 with a slew of turtle wax pro goodies, and with a bit of elbow grease, showed how one man’s farm truck can be another man’s treasure. After reaching all of the nooks and crannies, we made the interior of our Land Cruiser shine, chances are, the most it has since it was new. Since then, we’ve been hard at work, finishing the project up in preparation for a week-long trip through the mountains of Colorado.

We’re now one full week into summer, and we can confidently say we’ve all been waiting for it. The sun stays high in the sky, the nights are warm, and for most of the country, the inclement weather is finally at bay. For all of us, it’s finally time to enjoy our cars. That is, of course, unless you’re one of the lucky ones here in California where we enjoy our cars all year long. Nevertheless, we’re glad the rest of the country is ready to join us.

For better or worse, it seems we’re always adding to the StanceWorks fleet of vehicles, which now overflows from the shop out into the parking lot, and we presume one of these days our landlord will ask us what on earth we’re actually doing. Nevertheless, we pride ourselves on finding hidden gems buried within the depths of Craigslist, AutoTrader, and the forums too.

Over the past two years, the StanceWorks FJ62 Land Cruiser has certainly earned its keep. From off-road adventures driving under a hot day’s sun, to cold nights spent camping inside, we’ve certainly found it to be a home away from home. More than that though, it’s spent nearly two full years on daily driver duty, and while I’ve tried my best to keep it clean, Chloe has done her best to give it that “lived in” feel, and perhaps not in the best way.
