It was five years ago today that I funneled my thoughts through my keyboard and onto the StanceWorks homepage. In coming across this old gem today, I was reminded how little has changes, but how much we have grown. We set out on a mission to move the car community in a direction we saw as positive and reinforcing, and I like to think we’d made some serious strides. 2012 marks the 8th year for the Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS), known throughout the country as the end-all for those in love with nostalgic and retro “JDM” cars. We made the trip out to the Queen Mary show grounds and captured some of our favorites from the show. As my first time attending, I can certainly say this isn’t one to miss from here on out.

StanceWorks has become known for throwing quality events at unique venues each year, and the first annual Avila Motoring Invitational was no different. Hosted on the freshly trimmed grass of the Avila Beach Golf Resort’s 10th and 18th fairways, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and small beach town, the Avila Motoring Invitational was put together to provide a destination weekend for fellow stance enthusiasts.
