It’s all but unbelievable that Andrew and I can say that we’ve been at this for six full years now. What began as little more than a hobby – a place to share photos taken during our weekends as car enthusiasts – has spiraled into something that stands as a major chapter in each of our lives. Six years of excitement on four wheels has taken us across the globe, given us once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and taught us some valuable lessons as both business partners and friends.
It’s crazy to think that StanceWorks has been around long enough to form annual traditions, but once again, I find myself nearing the end of a calendar year and searching through old photos for this article. Mike and I tend to enter each year with an uncertainty, but we can always count on it being an exciting journey filled with great people and exciting cars. 2014 was no different.
With 2013 upon us, and more ahead of us than ever before, Andrew and I have once again taken the chance to look back on the past twelve months to see where we’ve come from and where the year has taken us. The past year has taken us to places we had previously only dreamed of going, ranging from factories and paddocks to garages and secluded parking lots for the perfect photo shoot location.
With 2013 just around the corner, it comes time for those of us here at StanceWorks to reflect back on our year. 2012 took us all over the country in search for automotive inspiration. From trackside to car photoshoot, it’s clear that 2012 was a year of growth, exploration, and a broadening of vision for me and StanceWorks.
Among the many things we do here at STANCE|WORKS, photography is one of the things we take the most pride in. Our photography is more than just a visual representation of a car we want to share; it’s an artistic expression, individualized each time by the story each car has to tell.
