“Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday.” It’s an iconic idiom in the automotive world, and it validates the link between brands and their justification for racing. The end justifies the means, and on occasion, it’s the desire to sell that creates a desire to race. It’s not fun to admit as racing fans, but let’s be clear: everyone at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, for example, races out of love.

If you weren’t aware that Evo Wagons existed in any form, don’t worry: you aren’t alone. Prior to now, I too would have assumed it’s base-model Lancer up-conversion; however, that’s far from the case. With the Evoultion IX platform, Mitsubishi set out to make just 2500 wagons over the course of just two years, making it a rather rare car, all things considered. By a more popular comparison, more than 16,500 E30 M3s were built over the course of their production run.

It seems rare that a Daily Grind update offers a chance to share so much, but a lot has happened at the StanceWorks HQ since our last report. From new parts and new art, to new cars, both big and small, we’ve been having fun this summer.

Easily the most exciting update is the announcement of the latest Lowly Gentlemen art print. Hand drawn by Andrew once again, the latest limited-number print features a draft drawing of Mercedes’ famous Sauber C9 prototype race car.
