Okay… enough waiting. Here’s the rest of the “good things”: more top-tier photography of the 77th Goodwood Members’ Meeting, courtesy of the talented Peter Aylward. Be sure to follow him on Instagram at @peteraylward and check out his website: www.peteraylward.co.uk.
“Good things come to those who wait,” or so they say at least. It piggy-backs on the sentiment of “patience is a virtue,” and while both seem nonsensical when in the throes of restlessness, it does ring true on at least some occasions. Peter Aylward returns once again, this time with imagery from the 77th Goodwood Members’ Meeting, an event hosted exclusively for members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club and its fellowship.
Peter Aylward returns once again, this time with imagery from the 2018 Goodwood Revival, an event hosted exclusively racing machines from the ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s, complete with attire and festivities to match. The event exists to revive the sights, sounds, and sensations of a time in motor racing that once was.
If one set wasn’t enough, we’ve got good news: We’re back with Part II of our look back at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 with 35 more photos of classic racers at their best. Peter Aylward’s stylized imagery captures the essence of the event and the cars that comprise it, leaving us yearning yet again for the chance to attend the event ourselves. With 2019’s event upon us in just a month, we’ve got to rule it out. Maybe 2020 is our year? Fingers crossed.
With the Goodwood Festival of Speed less than a month away, we figure now’s better than ever to take a look back: One of our favorite motorsports photographers, Peter Aylward, has made good on his promise to treat us to the imagery of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. For those somehow unfamiliar, the Goodwood FoS celebrates historic race cars of all walks, from vintage to modern, as long as the machine offers automotive, cultural, or community significance.
