Since finishing the “Parts Car” in November of ’16, I’ve been on a constant quest to improve it. Alignment changes, spring rate changes, and sway bar adjustments have all helped to hasten the car around the track. Its constantly-improving compliance and neutrality have yielded incredible results, helping me to set a new “personal best,” or “PB,” at nearly every track day over the past year.
It’s hard to say why, exactly, but it’s probably safe to say that there’s something simply special about the Spoon Sports Hondas. There always has been, in my eyes. Even as an enthusiast that unwaveringly pledges my allegiance to German Engineering, the blue and yellow Spoon cars have always offered a bit of something to fawn over. Of course, their prowess is an obvious reason to hold them in such high regard, as is the brand’s renowned quality.
It seems like we’ve talked of taking the entire StanceWorks gang out for a track day for years. From broken cars and builds that are under construction, to conflicting schedules, empty wallets, and plain old bad planning, it’s something we weren’t sure would ever come to fruition.
