    And why wouldnt you recommend editing HD footy on a laptop? slows down the computer or what?

      Well if your laptop can handle it.
      Mine really couldn't I just kept finalizing it watching what I wanted to edit, then went back into the program and did it.. Pretty long process.

      The edit playback was very laggy.
