  • Need Help With Lighting

hey all, new here and I'm really into photography. Not the greatest at it but I'm getting there. Any way, i want to start using external lights and stuff to start improving my photos. can any one recommend "cheap" lights that aren't to bad for starting off? was looking at the alien bee stuff but is there any thing else out there ?
any help would be much appreciated thanks.
*edit* any help/tips on how to USE lighting in good ways would be good to, thanks.

I use speedlights and for these reasons.

          Portable
          Cheaper-sometimes.
          Dont need power cords

Using external Lighting means diffrent things.
          Also, what are you shooting?
Are you shooting automotive on location, or in studio.

This will decide what lights to get, and what kind of wattage you will need. Shooting in darkness, or low light, I get awesome night shots with speedlights, but its a hassel because using them alot is expensive because batteries die, and its better if you have a power source.

just checked you Flickr out. It looks good IMO. You live near places with good lighting. But anyway. Think about what you want, then look around.

Also, what do u have dont yo your supra.
