  • Quadcopters?

I wanted to try and get a different perspective with my videos, but does anyone have any good knowledge of any quadcopter setups for filming (either DSLR or GoPro)?

I work in a hobbyshop and we sell quite a few quadcopters. Check out the DJI phantom II, for the average person its going to be the quickest way to going. Their zemuse gimbal is designed to mount straight to a go pro and allows for super stable shots, I believe they sell the phantom II with gimbal in the $800-$900 range. Have you ever flown anything rc before?

Thanks for the heads up. I've only flown cheap air hog planes, but I'm well versed in the hobby grade stuff for cars at least (Team associated rc-10 and rc-18 FTW) I may need practice first haha.

If you do decide to invest in one I would highly recommend getting something to practice with because you will crash when learning to fly. Either get a simulator or get a cheap(er) heli/quad to get your skills down with. If you want to get your feet wet check out the Blade NanoQX. Its a mini quad and its badass.

the dji phantom seems to be the go. a mate bought one the other week, and we had a play with it and my car last weekend.

it has gps to help stabilise it, but even without it it seems pretty damn good, just gotta watch out for wind(gps is supposed to help in this area)

this is shot without the gps feature turned on, if you want to ask any questions about it, pm user "hozy" on here

Nice, I'll Definitely look into that model for practice.
