Yo, so i've been meaning to make a thread for ages so i can get help with improving my photography.

    Basic rundown:

I'm 17 always had a passion for photography only really now trying to get into it properly.

    Camer gear:

    Nikon D5000

    Nikon AF-S 55-200

    Nikon AF-S 18-55

    Photos:

All of which are uneditted (you can probably tell)

    Some of my favourites.

Tonight i went to abandoned car park and played around with shutter speed.

Anyway, can anyone recommend any programs to edit and video i can watch a learn, i really want to get some better quality out of my photos and i'm not to keen on spending to much money.

Thankyou for viewing feedback is all welcomed

hey man cool shots. What computer do you have? the reason i ask is i have a mac book and i use a program called aperture. its pretty easy to use and you can touch up and enhance you photos as you wish. other than that there's the obvious Photoshop. both of these you could download from the net. i also find that choosing the time of day to shoot your photos will make a bigger difference, if your keen get up before sunrise and head out to some of your favorite spots and with softer light you'll find the colours will be alot better and not blow out.

First real try at editting i have lost the original somewhere. I used lightroom.

Photo is shot with a macro on a 10 second exposure.

Photoshop and Lightroom are my go-to's.
I use Lightroom mainly just because of its nondestructive awesomeness. I usually open photoshop to do more "in depth" editing.
