All your photos look really smooth, as in just a tad blurry. To me they do anyways. Make sure your focus points in your viewfinder are focusing on what you want to be clear and crisp. If your using photoshop, try using a high pass filter on a duplicate layer of your background. Then turn the layer blend to linear and turn the opacity down to the desired %.

A high pass filter won't make an out of focus photo in focus. It will just make it sharper.

Are you using all of the focus points? Maybe just try the centre one.

Thanks, I'll try that. I honestly don't really know what I'm doing, I've only had early sony point and shoots and progressively better cell phones.
