thanks for sharing these pics, they certainly are amazing shots. Went to college in Windsor for 3 years but never really made it over to the D aside from the occasional rave lol

Thats exactly what I thought when i saw these. They remind me of a Chernobyl set from a while ago. Awesome work man!

some old burnt down house. its no longer there.

              back at the packard plant.

we actually climbed from the other side, to where to photo was taken. lol.

the building on the right is all locked up and stuff. if you look through the fence when nobody is there, its full of computers and stuff. i've seen old cars in there, etc. there are 2 "businesses" being ran out of the place. they steal electricity and dont pay for shit.

              pallets of plastic pellets.

              back to the train station.

meh, im getting sick to death of posting these damn HDR's... anyhow, back to the packard plant.

a couple from the Boblo Terminal. i dont have much from there anymore. its not all that interesting on the inside anyhow.

and moar packard shots. just to be clear, we go to that place a lot because there isnt really anything exciting going on, its big, and you can chill there a bit. theres a sweet liquor store on the corner that has bullet proof glass with those little turn tables to exchange merchandise and money (lol), so we always pick up some 40's when we're over there.

for an HDR, i like the way this one turned out.

from the roof of the train station once again, lol.

a friend from cleveland. he climbed up that smoke stack (20'+), turned around and sat down just to take a picture down. eff that, remember that building is almost 100 years old.

So insane. Really awesome shots. I love them and **** them all at once. Some of the graffitti is really sick too. Good artists with a lot of space to throw up works. Amazing, thanks for posting these.

werd, i've got a handfull more. and i'm pretty sure that's all the HDR's. phew!

tallest building on the left is the GM HQ. ironic considering the photo was taken from the roof of the abandoned packard auto plant. lol.

someone built a pyramid out of the wooden floor bricks. it was big, and none were glued together or anything. they're were just placed atop each other. pretty cool. i had him hop up there so people could get an idea for its size.

                    meh.

man, i gotta go through and clean house with my flickr.

from the casino parking garage. the night before i chopped off my trigger finger.

we'll end it there tonight. i'll get some more up in the next day or so.

All those pictures and you didn't mention the gay superheroes? I'm disappointed.

I've always been a fan of your photography, good stuff.

believe me when i say it's not as scary as it looks. the fires do not spread at all. i've done this many times.

the day i learned that i have a macro lens.

this is by the same guy that did the fish on the green wall on the last page.

the truck in the background of these 2 pictures is now on the ground below. someone busted out the wall and pushed that bitch out the opening. lol.

more on that one later you will see.

GM HQ in the distance, from the roof of the Packard building.

                          andy being a clown.

from the train station. it was i believe 13 degrees that day without the wind chill. ended up being like -5 windchill. coldest day i can remember.

a few more before i head out.
nope, dont know who was standing on the roof. there are always random people in that place.

                          same shot, but wider.

i wanna say this is from the....i cant remember the name of the building. its next to the also abandoned wurlitzer.

the next few are from the same place.

its cool seeing all the old stuff because everything is hand written/painted.

i love finding time sheets and different forms of documentation. everything is handwritten and dated, its so fascinating.

and we're back to the train station. probably walking around with handfuls of 40oz beerz. that's the usual.

lol, drew jacked this one for his facebook. windsor ontario on the other side of the bridge.

you can see ice floating down the river. very cool when you're up close. the huge sheets cant make the turns the river makes, so it gets crushed on the sides. its LOUD!

Brush park. a bunch of old mansions that all look similar to this. some are being restored, but they usually get broken into quite often. beautiful houses otherwise though. all the rich folks lived in the city way back when.

^^^ from that shot, i turned around 180 degrees and took this one. GM building is on the river, before that is comerica park, where the tigers play. directly to the left of that is Ford Field, where the lions pretend to play. just to give you an idea of how close those big houses were/are.

                          the shitbox in brush park.

gotta run though, im playing tour guide today. gotta take a couple of wisconsin guys to the packard plant, hitting the bar and then driving to cincinnati for the weekend. i'll update this ish again soon. thanks for looking.

i think this is where i left off.

st. patrick's day. they lift the law that says you cant walk around with beer.

but that was in corktown where tiger's stadium is/was. the train station is also there.

parade day. i know nothing about bikes, but that has to be one of the coolest ones i've ever seen.

im not going to even attempt to explain this one.

during that college basketball thing that was here last summer. final four maybe? hell, i dont know a damn thing about that stuff. i do know that i've never seen so many people walking around down there. people from all over the country, it was pretty cool.

it was kind of cool that MSU was there playing. i am a future graduate of that school.

some of the big houses in Brush Park that have been restored.

Comerica Park. where the Tigers play.

i think this was andy's first time in the train station.

i'll post some more later on.

Canon, Fuji, Mamiya, Minolta + Pentax.
