  • New camera, any tips?

    Hey everyone, just got a new Canon Rebel T3i, what do you all use for editing seeing as im new to this. im sure photoshop is one of course, already have that from graphic design stuff i do, anything else you would recommend?

      Lightroom for sure. Pick up the 3.6 version because the newest 4.1 seems to have some minor problems, lacking etc.

      I never use any filter at all. I shoot raw and shoot all my images in Manual mode. Make yourself familiar with that one till you understand the relationship between ISO, Aperture and Shutterspeed, and how those affect your image.

          If you were to buy a filter I'd highly recommend a circular polariser, it will save alot of time in post by cutting out unwanted reflections.

            Lightroom is awesome for quick editing and also in depth stuff. Lightroom has come a long way since the beginning. Ive really grown fond of Adobe bridge intergrated with photoshop. Manual mode gives you the most control over everything which is very useful.
