Hello there SW. My name is David Hurtado, or as most people know me, Grenas (long hair in spanish). As of right now, I am studying abroad in Rome for 4 months for architecture. Photography has always been a hobby for me and this city has been incredibly photogenic.

I figured I will post pictures as I often as I can in here, and hopefully I will get better as I get further into my program.

awesome shots! Im hoping to at some point study abroad. how is architecture going that is initially the field i wanted to go in but im not very good at drawing and it seems like there isnt much in the current economy in architecture. I know my cousin graduated 2 years ago and is having a hard time.

which camera you used?

Camera being used is a Canon Mark II EOS 5D

Lenses I alternate between are...

35-350mm 3.5-5.6 L Glass
24-105mm EF
16-35mm EF

All lenses have the L Glass

Although it is true that architecture is hurting with the current economy,I still enjoy it. I initially wasn't very good at sketching or drawing, but just like anything else, you get better with more practice. I think what I most enjoy about it is that it opens your eyes and forces you to be more open minded

Its hard out there right now, I understand how hard it is for your cousin,I wish him the best in the field.

Sorry it has been a while since I have updated, been busy with school work. So something incredibly rare happened here in Rome, it snowed, for 2 days. I believe the last time this area saw this much snow was about 10 years ago. The city is both acts and looks completely different in the snow. Enough with the talking and onto some pictures for everyone...

is there some kind of meaning to all the locks?

My teacher told me that the story behind the locks is that couples will buy a lock and then lock it onto a pole or chain, to symbolize their love/relationship. Its amazing how many locks throughout the city there are, I might do a series on the locks themselves.

I appreciate the comment. I have only been photographing for about a year or so and I finally feel like I am getting better at editing and finding a style that I like.

I might be going on another field trip tomorrow, so I should have some new pictures in the next few days.

I will be on a trip / vacation for the next two weeks up north. I will be going to Florence, Venice, Milan, Paris, and Barcelona. For now, I will add a few random ones I edited today...

Awesome places to travel and these pictures really portray the best in them. Awesome shots, how do you like the 5D Mark II, judging by the pictures the thing seems to work like a gem.
