  • another noob looking for constructive criticism

Hello everybody! I just got a Canon T3I. My very first dslr and I have been just going crazy. I also had a month long trial of photoshop which was insane. I probably only sratched the surface with it. So just wondering what you guys thought and if you had any cool tips. Thanks!

Get more lenses and take it out of auto mode.
I use a t2i (same thing as the t3i really) for videography, and occasionally for piktar taking.
Just by these pictures you posted, if you had said nothing about what camera you had, I would have assumed it was a point and shoot with some fancy Picasa color correction.

These are pretty standard photos which make it dificult to critic. From what I see your composition is decent. You have to learn how to think out of the box and start seeing things differently. The best photographers see the beauty in everything and see the world from a different angle.

A great excersise for this is the 10'x10' space. Rules are its prearagned and you cant move anything dont add anything dont remove anything dont move anything inside of the space. leave everything as you found it and photograph it. You must take atleast 100 photos. Since you are new Do this first in auto mode then research shutter and apeture and do it again in manual mode.

The key to learning any art is research & practice lots and lots of practice.

PS:look into lense filters. Are not crazy expensive, make a definite improve moment as well as adding versatillity to your photography.
