What is everyone using for watermarks?

I'm looking to design a watermark to place in the corner of my pictures. I have a couple of designs in mind but I'm not which program would be best to begin this project. What are you guys using? Photoshop, illustrator? Also how would I go about adding this to my pictures. New layer?

I just found a font I liked. People put way too much time and effort into a watermark, it really only has to be your name, not some fancy big design, that detracts from the picture.

And yes just use a new layer. Since I just use text I just go in and put a new text layer, and write "kielan|prince" that's it.

Make your watermark, record it as an action in PS. done.

I just apply mine in Lightroom when the pictures get exported, it was just some text thrown together in PS and saved as a transparent PNG.
