  • Canon 500d EOS

    Hi guys.

I'm fairly new here and a aspiring photographer. I recently upgraded from a nikon D3000 with a kit lens to a canon 500d with kit lens and 70-300mm lens. Got the camera for a month now but trying to get around it still. I'm doing this for a year now so far, but still got heaps to learn.

I get carried away alot with photoshop though. Lol.

Here is my blog for some c&c please

Who all has 500d's here? Would like to see what's it capable of? As I'm still learning mine.

I have a 550D and I have in no means come anywhere near its potential yet.

I checked your blog out, your stuff isn't bad, but please for the love of god, you don't need to take every picture with an angle. It gets really annoying and detracts from your photos.

You have a long while to go before you reach your limitations with that camera, get some new lenses. I suggest a 50 1.8 and go out and experiment, take pictures of stuff other than cars as well.. It will definitely help you get better.

I can't take a photo of my car to save my life. Nature though, I am much better with. http://www.flickr.com/photos/zomgnerd/ all my photos are taken with a 450d.

Yip busy working to get away from the angled shots! Lol. Its a bad habit.

50mm 1.8 is next on the list. I don't just do automotive photos. I just need to get my lazy ass up and practice. I normally practice on my daughter, flowers and dogs. But having a outing in 2weeks time that I wanna try a few things with. Thanks for that!
