    i was at the nurburgring two years ago, and you can imagine how disappointed i was that there were only two pictures worth saving from my attempts at panning shots.

    what made matters worse, is that they're of friggin' opels :/

            So, I am looking at hiring a lens for this weekends events at Donington,

            Got it down to these 3,



            For someone like me, will the 70-300 be enough, or are the other 2 worth the extra £15+.

              I used the 70-200 F2.8 on a 1D. It was amazing! Really sharp, clear photos. I have a 70-300mm and i rarely go over 200mm.

                  Thanks for the replies, I did infact end up just going with the 70-300, purely for a cost reason. See how I get on with it, next event I will look into the 70-200 instead. For only my 3rd attempt at panning I think £75 was too much to spend.
