  • first time D3100 shots/MOVIE!

    Starting to get into photography as a hobby but would like some constructive criticism. Please comment the photo and movie style, NOT THE CARS!! I'll post our cars on a different thread everything shot with nikon d3100 and edited with picasa

        as above, im using the same camera with the standard 18-55mm lens, there damn good shots if you are matey

          yup, all with the kit lens 18-55mm. thanks dudes. Im looking to get a 55mm lens b/c those lens can take some sweeet shots

                    Nice pictures overall. Kit lenses are very much okay once you only want to shoot pictures like this, with the very clear look/high apature. You should get a 1.8 or 1.4 prime lens which is great value for money, then you can start to blow out the background and create some more badass photos.

                    Watermarking: I see you also fight the thing of what kinda mark to put on them, so did i in the beginning. Right now i came down to the decision to have no watermarking on my pictures. If i take pictures of a car, i just tell the owner to write my name in a text instead. Pictures speak for themselves, so people will contact you anyway if they are interested in shoots, that's after all my experience and opinion.

                      Nice shots, video needs more content and a little less focus adjustments, but on to a good start!
