First Attempt At Rolling Shots

Their speed was around 35mph, and kielan suggested 1/30th, so I'm sure you aren't crazy Ox.
I'll try that out, although I'm sure most of mine will be semi shitty until I get a better grasp on being steady.

Oh also, it was 27 degrees out when I shot these... Can I haz medal? :P

You can haz medal. That delorean is badass... If I ever get my dream car, an NSX, Im going to finish all the panels in a brushed finish like the deloreans. Brushed alloy is the fuckin bomb.

Im also confused about that one too.. I was always told its so if you have parts on your car that you dont want people to know about they cant look up your car or something.. Idk dont quote me on that lol. I just do it in my photos anyways, but if someone could explain this it would save time in the editing lol

In aus we tend to do it as police actually patrol on forums and read build threads to see which cars have illegal parts etc, then hunt them down on the street to defect them and fine them.

I dont bother though, everyone knows my car, even if the plates are blured, people still know what they are haha.

Nice shots! Rolling shots are definitely tricky, you might be better served to shoot in shutter speed priority (TV mode on Canons) and let the camera choose the aperture and ISO.

And to the pix, nice for first time shots. As others have already mentioned slower shutter speed wouldve created a greater sense of speed. And yes you do get a medal for shooting steady in freezing weather

Yup.

Lower light/cloudy/overcast is best. Shutter Priority (for the Nikon guys) and match shutter speed to car speed. Ex 50mph =1/50th. Spray and Pray.
