For most of them I think a slower shutter would have helped give the impression of speed.

Are you a car beside it? How are you keeping such clean photos with movement?

yeah, a slower shutter speed will help.

also, i noticed some noise in the pics, what was your iso at?

also, might want to blur out the license plate on the VW.

I'm still new to manual settings, so I just shot in Canon "ADep".

            Thanks for the comments guys!

Unsure what the iso was, actually...

Yeah I was leaning out of an Audi A4. Driver was clutching my leg.

Also all of the shots were taken around 35mph.

Shutter speed should have been around 1/30th, but hey not bad for your first try.

Funny story, that delorean was on the set too.
Has signatures from some of the cast including Michael J. Fox.
                  Also has a flux capacitor.

Thanks Kielan, I've got that speed written down for the next time.

I have never understood why you would blur a license plate, people see it everyday anyways.....someone please just give me one good reason

No way? Thats pretty damn badass...

I usually shoot rolling/panning shits with the shutter at the speed of the car, but its slightly different in the US being mph instead of kmh. I set it to be 1/whatever the speed is. so 30kmh = 1/30th shutter... Might sound silly but I have found it to work quite well.

Another of the DeLorean showing the sigs on the dashboard.

Their speed was around 35mph, and kielan suggested 1/30th, so I'm sure you aren't crazy Ox.
I'll try that out, although I'm sure most of mine will be semi shitty until I get a better grasp on being steady.

Oh also, it was 27 degrees out when I shot these... Can I haz medal? :P

Im also confused about that one too.. I was always told its so if you have parts on your car that you dont want people to know about they cant look up your car or something.. Idk dont quote me on that lol. I just do it in my photos anyways, but if someone could explain this it would save time in the editing lol

And to the pix, nice for first time shots. As others have already mentioned slower shutter speed wouldve created a greater sense of speed. And yes you do get a medal for shooting steady in freezing weather

Nice shots! Rolling shots are definitely tricky, you might be better served to shoot in shutter speed priority (TV mode on Canons) and let the camera choose the aperture and ISO.
