Canon lens advice

I personally would only buy Canon lenses. If you do decide to go with Sigma or anyother aftermarket company, I would definitely buy the lens in person at a camera shop so you can try the lens out before buy to avoid getting a bad piece of glass.

This is very true.. All my lenses so far are canon.

I have the Canon 10-22 and love it, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Sigma equivalent. I have a Sigma macro lens and love it.

I have the Tamron 10-24

It is pretty awesome and I got it for £350 ish. There is slight barrel distortion when shooting all the way at 10mm but it is pretty wide. The lens also feels nice too. But as I mentioned, it does get a bit soft at the edges of the lens.
