  • How'd You Get Into Photography?

Hey, I wanted to start this thread to see where you all came from as far as your photographic roots are concerned. I started out with an EOS Elan 35mm camera with the standard 18-55, 70-300 and a 50mm f/1.8.

Also post up any pics you have from when you first started if you have 'em (I don't as they are all lost or at my mom's house). Thanks and i'm excited to hear what you have to say.

Wanted to try it, tried it, liked it, continued shooting. No real elaborate story there haha.

Started by messing around with my dad's old Olympus when I was little. Then picked it back up when I took film photo classes, then bought my sister's Canon and just kind of kept going with it.

Started using my parents Canon 350D, around 1 1/2 years ago. Loved it, took a year course in photography, now i'm taking another 2 year course full time to gain a diploma. Eventually looking at National Geographic down the road, hoping it will work out!

From hobby to career I hope!

Basically the same, bought a Canon Elf powershot and it just all happened from there.
