Anyone ever used these?

Im going to pick up a speedlight to get pics mostly of people at night, but I have noticed that sometimes the flash can be too 'harsh' on its own depending on the situation.

Would something like this be worth picking up/trying out?

Ive never used those, but my Stofen seems to always work pretty well with softening the flash a bit.

lol, v-tec. But the Stofen is basically the same as that one. Mine was about 4 bucks shipped to my house from amazon.
