My fav lens to shoot with has to be my old russian M42 mount Helios-44M f2 58mm. Just feels like a tank and if necessary can be used as a weapon too because it's all out of solid metal and very heavy - just a pleasure to work with because of the solid feel. Image quality is quite good too.

Here it's mounted to my old Zenit TTL:

Using it with an M42 adapter, along with a host of other manual M42 lenses, on my Eos.

Price of the lens was 15€.

Here's some examples I've shot so far with the lens... no real car shot just yet.

A nice and old russian lens. Found it on the flea market attached to a nice Zenit TTL.

Dr.AK, I have that same lens and also enjoy it! I love the swirly bokeh! I think I paid $40 shipped to the US.

I only have a few photographs on my FlickR I took with it, and they're old, but:

            Bokeh swirls so crazy!

Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 fitted on a Nikon D80 for me. So many Formula Drift memories with that lens..

I use 70-200 F4L most often. Pretty much never comes off my camera. Occasionally I throw on a cheapo fisheye... which gives surprisingly decent shots.

                        Nikkor 55-200 4-5.6

I like shooting with it above 150 or so.

                        Wut?

For automotive I definitely prefer my 28-135 out of everything I have.

All in all though I really enjoy my 150 macro. It just isn't as versatile. In some applications it can take some decent automotive shots though

                              Love my EF-S 10-22.

One of my fav shots with it..

My 70-200 2.8 IS L is definitley a strong competitor though.
