I can tell you where you went wrong. You did this for other people and not yourself. If it means that much to you to have other people notice your car and want to plaster it all over the place, and if being the "first" to do something was your priority, then I'd say that was where your first mistake was.

the car doesn't work because instead of sitting and looking at it to imagine the way u want it to look, u went to shows and surfed the web to make a big list of the parts PEOPLE would theoretically like on ur car. it doesn't have personality.

I'm fairly confident that if I were to slap a huge cock next to everyone here's lips and said "type one sentence without the word stance in it or chug this dong."

It would be awfully quiet and sticky at your keyboards.

Hey I know how it is, I always have a backlog of pictures I can edit if I'm feeling up to it. No rush for me, car isn't going anywhere and looks very much the same as it did then

I haven't wanted to jump in on this, but will make one point to our blog:

It's a lot of work to get shoots setup, edit the photos, write the articles and do all this in a timely fashion. It use to be a worthwhile thing to do, but since the Internet blew up with a new blog coming out every other day, it's taken away from the specialness of getting featured, or putting in the work to get the feature done.

We have chosen to combat that by posting less.. In turn, it honors the owner of the car and the photographer / writer who went through the effort of making it happen.

At the end of the day though, we are a community first, that happens to also have a blog. What I love about this community, is the fact that people aren't wrapped up in e-fame.. For the most part, they come to get cues or props from their peers and not just a bunch of random people who aren't building cars in the first place.

We like doing features, and spotlighting cars.. Whether that be 10 E30's in a row.. We don't care. We aren't a magazine concerned about subscriptions or viewership. We like to honor those who are members first as well. We also like posting cars that haven't been posted, as we like to give viewers something different from the 1242557 blogs out there. There really is little politics to it.

But StanceWorks will always be a community that happens to have a blog.. Not the other way around.

If you bought a car, spent a bunch of money, didn’t get featured, and now your upset then… you’re in it for the wrong reason.

I understand that you also say it’s the same cars you see but I also read that its more about you. (and your sponsors)

Sorry, not trying to be an ass. Im just going based on what I read.
Exactly what I thought when I started reading page 1

Agreed. Too many people are "building" cars for the wrong reasons, looking to get their piece of the pie.

Plus, the reason you see the same cars over and over again is because either: they can fit amazing spec'd wheels, have the fenders for it, the drop for it or they're just popular in general.

I haven't had a feature I don't think, but plenty of people recognize me and/or my car, so that's enough recognition for me. Being humble about it all surpasses ANY "feature" anyone gets.
Your GTI got plenty of features and you whore the Jetta less than that one but it's still one of the only MK4 Jettas on RSs that looks proper
