You have to remember it was Clinton that implemented the federal backing of bank loans that were a major factor of the economic recession, The current mortgage crisis came about in large part because of Clinton-era government pressure on lenders to make risky loans in order to make homeownership more affordable for lower-income Americans and those with a poor credit history.

I think history will look more kindly on Bush than people currently do.

I will say that his policy was the one that made many of the large corporations move over seas and deindustrialize the USA and thus we lost jobs on a major scale. Also, this topic can be debated for hours, upon days, upon years with no end. So, no one is going to win here. Socialism and Capitalism are just abstract ideals. It is hard to prove anything because their is so many types of both, and they both use some of each others ideas in some way.

The reason America is in the shitter is simple. America at large feel that they have a sense of entitlement because of the great country their fathers and so forth built. They feel they get a free ticket cause their family worked hard. Their isn't a sense of national pride or a real working middle class anymore. It's all a bunch of stoner wanna be fucks who waste college and go onto flood the market as the USA deindustrializes itself to make way for China to be the new world super power. That is the HUGE problem. Blue collar jobs move to China, destruction of middle class, no middle class means poverty goes up and jobsless rate does too, demand for good and labor go up in China as does the economy. More demand for goods more workers needed to sustain trade demands. More money for the Chinese people means more internal goods are needed, China tries to offset demand with more trade, also ups workforce. Less skilled labor, saturated markets for "educated" jobs.

Shit I was talking to an old timer the other day. Said way back when a manager wouldn't be making 1/3 more than his work force. If he did the workforce would strike and beat the guys ass. Also said the owner would make 2-3X what his workers would make and everything was fair. Somewhere along the lines shit got skewed.....

I just re read the post and saw the sarcasm... The second part didn't sink in at first, ha.

People don't realize that while the job of a CEO/Owner is physically "easier," but they get payed so much more because they have a TON of responsibility and stress on their shoulders. They also have the knowledge to run a business effectively, which their workers obviously don't have.

I think a lot of the problems started with the government way back. One thing I **** is the Federal Reserve. Idk, their are too many problems, and they are continuing instead of getting better. We need good judges to interpret the constitution properly. The healthcare would be solved if they just deregulated it, instead of giving control the the government. It goes on and on.
