While entitled to his opinions, the guy clearly hasn't done much research into it other than saying he doesn't like it because its cosmetic and "ricey" which makes no sense because its not race inspired at all, but thats besides the point.
Drift cars, are setup for drifting which last time I checked is a form of racing. Most of the time drifters have very good fitment, quite low, and serve their purpose, and the reason they are setup like that, is because that is how it works for them, you can't drift a stock height car, it just doesn't work.
Once again I am not saying he is wrong for his opinion, but he clearly hasn't looked to deeply into the actual purpose of stance in some cases, and he just doesn't like modifying cars for looks, which is fine, but he really didn't need to write that entry to say how he disapproves, because he made so little sense.- Kielan (Key-lin)

Since when did these become bonuses?
Have door handles, trunk latches, keyholes, gas tank covers, and everything else that keeps the body of the car from being “flush”.
Try to tuck your entire wheel and tire into the wheelwells. Ideally, it should all be shoved up where nobody can see it.
First off most people dont shave anything except antenna's and door handles? what? srsly? and tucking isn't considered "Hellaflush"....
What an idiot.

Plenty of stuff like this all over the internet, check out The Car Lounge off of Vortex if you want to see more attitudes like this. At the end of the day, do your thing bc you want to and people are entitled to their opinions. Some people like fast and functional cars, others like cars that look good from their perspective, but at the end of the day, it's whatever you choose to do based on what you like. It's not worth getting all hot and bothered over what someone posts on a blog.
Personally, I **** how it's become the super trendy thing to do with kids just doing it to try and be crazier or more extreme than the next guy, but that's my opinion on the "movement" so to speak

I guess drag cars with full moulded fibreglass front ends are "rice" or "hellaflush" too?
Not to mention "hot rods" and "lead sleds"... I laugh at his lack of knowledge.
Why talk about things you know nothing about. Best part is he tries to validate his stupid opinion by responding to almost every negative comment he got..
Some one should spit in his ignorant face to wake him up to reality.. Maybe by the beach, where cars are driven everyday... Better yet, In peakhour, when the tide starts to rise...Originally posted by anthLucky they didn't come into your house and disrespect your whole family.

I actually sent in my view over there using the Formula D reference and this was his response.
Kielan,
You're the first to send in your counterpoint, and the reference to Formula D really gives you a good, grounded basis for your argument. I really really like how level-headed your argument is, I've seen so many people fly off the handle because some guy on the internet said something they didn't like, it really is a treat to come across people who can state their case without foaming at the mouth.
I'm going to give this a week or two to let everyone get their input in before deciding upon which article to publish, but you're definitely a strong candidate. If you're interested in writing your case about anything else (I especially love DIY articles) just let me know. I like your writing style, and it's awesome that you've got such a big-picture perspective (where I'm definitely a bit more focused on what I like and what I dislike).

Well my post was just epic win completely destroying his view saying that there was no use for stance.
Cliff's of what I said.
1. Formula D / Drift cars in general, all stanced because they need to be.
2. Saying that modifying for looks is a stupid argument because then why would anyone modify cars if there is no practical use for them. Like having 550 RWHP you can't use it on the street so whats the point?
He then comes back with the reply above. I don't really know how to reply to what he said.- Kielan (Key-lin)
