how's this for a novel

guy finds out his girlfriend/wife is cheating, finds the guy and beats him into a coma, goes home and throws the guys wallet on the counter and says he found it outside. now his lady goes all crazy not knowing what to think while he leaves little hints here and there within the movie that he knows but never tells her. in the end, the bad guy wins and she is set-up for attempted murder due to the fact that the guy happened to be someone that set out to blackmail her over a past experience that she changed her name to get away from. she only has an affair with him to cover it up thinking that will make it go away but her husband/boyfriend doesn't care either way and helps the police make their case.
