Sup guys, im bored so i want a tattoo. I really like the Watanabe logo but before i get it stamped in ink I'd like to know the history of their logo. It looks like an old war logo from ancient times. Can anyone fill me in on this one? I'm normally not about car tattoos but the logo is dope.

Watanabe (渡辺 "cross border") is the fifth most common Japanese surname.

The first to be named Watanabe were kuge (court nobles), direct descendants of the Emperor Saga (786-842).

The most famous member of the family historically is the samurai Watanabe no Tsuna (953-1025), companion in arms of Minamoto no Yorimitsu (944-1021), and famous for his military exploits in a number of tales and legends.

The Watanabe of Hakata were daimyo of Hakata (province of Izumi) until the restoration of Meiji (1868).

damn thanks... any info on the logo though? Thats really were my curiosity inlies.


I like the logo more then the fact that it is from a wheel manufacture, the logo is different not a damn koi fish or a noh/ hannya mask, to each his own.
