I personally would never do it. I have seen it done before, I remember there was a huge like special on it a few years ago, the idea of controlling the sides separately is awesome to me, but I could never do it. If you like it more power to you, there are definitely some really hot freaky chicks that would love it. And if your GF likes it then thats sick.

I won't say you're an idiot for doing it, because I HOPE you really thought about it and what it will be like for the rest of your life.
