dude this sounds exactly like my girlfriend. I have a lot of friends that are girls and every time I mention one of them she flips out and thinks im flirting with them. And the whole "us time" thing without working on your car. Your preaching to the choir there man lol. My girlfriend thinks any money/time I put into my car is a stupid waste of money. I grew a pair and told her last week how it was. She now sits outside and watches me work on my car...without complaining. She actually helps sometimes and washes it for me. She still isn't down with me having friends that are other girls. I can't blame her, I don't have the best reputation with being faithful, but shes starting to gain trust so its a start.

I do what I do haha. I know what I want and if she won't support me in things I like/do when I have to go watch her do her stupid shit, then im not wasting my time. I occasionally throw the "this isnt going to work out any longer" card a few times a week. That usually puts her in her place haha. I remember the first time I pulled that card. She was flipping out because I didn't go take her to see my friends baby they just had because I drove around all day and didn't want to leave the house again. I threw her shoes at her and told her to take her shit and leave. Worked like a charm. I also play the guilt card where I turn her being mad at me around at me being mad at her. She caught onto that tho.

Basically what you need to do is to sit her down, and calmly explain that you feel like she doesn't care about you or what you like. Tell her that even a few hours a day working on your car would make this relationship better. For the getting a better job part, tell her if she doesn't like the money you bring home each week then she can't use it. Or that Facebook is a good networking place that could leave to bigger and better job opportunities so thats why your on it. And if you do decide to talk to other females, make sure its only via messages and sign out every time you get off.

ok so my turn to throw in my .02
I have been married for going on 9 years now...... my wife knew exactly what she was getting into and I told her from the get go I will always have a project car which means I will have to work on that car. I told her if that was going to be a problem that she should find someone else. No dont get me wrong that doesnt mean that you never spend time with her but she needs to understand that there are compromises. What I mean by this is you need to set boundaries such as yes I will hang out with you today but at 5pm Im going to work on my car and you can either hang out or go home but that is whats going to happen, if she wants to know how long it will take throw out a time frame...it will take me 4 hours so if you dont want to hang around for 4 hours go inside and watch tv or go do something with your friends im sure they would like to see you......If she is completely unwilling to compromise I **** to say it but you can either hand over your balls for her to carry around in her purse or you can tell her to kick rocksComment
